Situated on outskirts, and with its oldest eye hospital of entire north Bihar, the Sevashrama has been serving poor village patients of Muzaffarpur and nearby districts. Besides having a well equipped Eye Operation Theatre and a 30 bed eye ward it has Allopathy, Homeopathy, Dental, X-ray and Pathology sections where poor and needy patients get treatment almost free of cost. The present building was made of mud and bricks in the year 1946 and is now in a dilapidated condition. Hence keeping in view the urgency of having a new building for hospital we have taken up a three years project of charitable and 100 bedded Eye, ENT, Dental Hospital cum Diagnostic Centre with provision of paramedical training institute at our Ashrama premises. The estimated cost of the 1st phase of the project (2010-11) is about Rs. 3.71 Crore.

  1. Construction Cost of Hospital Building : Gr.Fl.,12000 Sq. Ft .with 3 storey foundation - Rs. 1.7 Crore
    2. (A half of it designed for Eye Hos. and the rest for various OPD and diagnostic sections)
  2. Purchase of Medical Equipments - Rs.71 Lakh
  3. One year Maintenance cost and free services to patients - Rs.30 lakh
  4. Permanent Endowment Fund - Rs. 1 Crore.

The poor health infrastructure of Muzaffarpur and other flood prone districts where the condition is further worsened by any natural calamity every year the services of a well equipped Eye, ENT, Dental hospitall cum diagnostic Centre will be highly beneficial to poor and needy of north west Bihar.

Hence we earnestly request our devotees, well wishers and admirers to contribute to the noble cause of serving God in poor and downtrodden. We believe, on momentous occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda your contribution and our efforts towards elevation of the health condition of the masses will be the best homage to Swamiji whose heart bled for poor humanity.
