Charitable Eye-cum-Dispensary

Since the Sevashrama is situated at the outskirt of the town and is within the reach of poor and needy villagers it tries to meet their medical needs.

Sevashrama has the oldest eye hospital (established in 1947) of entire North Bihar. Presently it has its own infirmary with 30 beds, modern eye operation theatre (built by Infosys Foundation in 2005 ) equipped with modern instruments. Microscopic surgeries are conducted regularly by qualified surgeons of the town. All routine eye surgeries including IOL implantation are done on regular basis. During the year 2007-2008, 520 cases were operated successfully.

Besides Eye Hospitals, the Ashrama runs in its premises Homeopathy, Allopathy, Dental, X-ray and Pathological Laboratory units. Also 2 units of Homeopathy are run in town area. It holds Eye Camps and Medical Camps in Villages with help of its capable medical staff. A large amount of free medicine including antibiotics was provided to needy patients .
